American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) is committed to accept several nurses from countries with emerging nurse practitioner (NP) or advanced practice roles into its International Ambassador Program. Program goals include mentorship, networking with other ambassadors and AANP leaders, insight and new perspectives of NP care and strategies to accelerate role development in their country. AANP will host ambassadors at the 2020 National Conference in New Orleans. AANP is also committed to its partnership with the United Nations Foundation training NPs to become Shot@Life Champions and advocate for global childhood immunization programs that combat vaccine preventable illness around the world.
30 nurses and midwives have been enrolled on this leadership development programme.
