The young teaching staff are entrusted with responsibility over one batch along with senior sister as a mentor. They are given opportunities to organise various programmes that take place in the institution. They are given opportunity to attend clinical teaching. Staff are also given the chance conferences/seminars that are conducted outside institution.
On adapting to the COVID-19 crisis:
1. We are challenged with continuing classes, clinical, but we are giving classes online but often there is problem with internet. So they are doing as voice message, videos etc. most of the sisters are above 50 years and so we are not able to actively give service to the patients. we are giving health teaching to our workers, providing food and shelter, masks etc. We do have the challenge in paying for the employees as students will not be able to pay the fees immediately. We hear that many nurses are not getting adequate personal protective materials and appreciation from the authorities.
