A diverse group of health professionals and stakeholders were present including Ms. Rosemarie Josey – Nursing Now Board member, Ms. Pauline Peters – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Ms. Nester Edwards – Chief Nursing Officer, Mrs. Fiona Anthony – WHO representative and Mr. Nickolas Steele – Hon. Minister of Health.
Issues within nursing such as human resource, education and, occupational health & safety were highlighted. Nurses present pledged their support to the Nursing Now campaign and called on the Government of Grenada to invest more in the nursing workforce for better quality of care of its citizens.
