Update, December 2020
In order to nurture young nurse leaders, the Buddhist Hualien Tzu-Chi Hospital quickly accepted the Nightingale Challenge and began the leadership training programme at Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital. We invited clinical nursing experts to share experience of problem-solving, motivation, and process reengineering.
A total of 25 nurse leaders participated in our training programme in 2020. Since the implementation of our Nightingale Challenge programme, seven participating nurses have been promoted to managerial roles. Two of them also participated in the Nightingale Nursing Academy organised by the Taiwan Nursing Association; they performed brilliantly to become influential partners, placing them at the heart of tackling 21st century health challenges.
