At least 30 nurses and midwives have been enrolled in this development programme.
Jhpiego globally is implementing the three-year Nursing and Midwifery (N/M) Strategy (2017-2020) whose purpose is to promote the clinical and leadership capacity of its own nurses and midwives, as well as to promote N/M-led care in Jhpiego programs. This strategy is in line with the global initiatives executed to raise the profile of nursing/midwifery, e.g. the Nursing Now Campaign. As one of the pilot countries to implement this N/M Strategy, Jhpiego Lesotho will focus on leadership capacity building as well as good customer care for at least 30 as part of the Florence Nightingale challenge.
