Making the Invisible Visible: The Triple Impact Report

On Tuesday 23 January, IntraHealth International and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing hosted an event to highlight how nursing improves gender equality while strengthening economies.

Dr Jane Salvage, a key advisor to the Triple Impact report team, and Dr Susan Hassmiller, senior adviser for nursing with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, were the event’s two keynote speakers. Salvage spoke about the importance and impact of engaging nurses in leadership and policy at both the national and global levels. Hassmiller focused on the Future of Nursing Campaign for Action, which seeks to ensure that everyone in America can live a healthier life, supported by a system in which nurses are essential partners in providing care and promoting health.

More than 150 participants joined the gathering at the Nelson Mandela Auditorium at the FedEx Global Education Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
