The Office of the Chief Nurse and Midwife – Department of Health Tasmania

20 nurses and midwives have been enrolled on the leadership development programme.

The International Practice Development School will be offered to a cohort of identified nurses and midwives and hosted by members of PD Tas under the auspices of the International Practice Development Collaborative.

The School creates active engagement through interactive workshops and active learning processes.

The foci for the 5-day program are: • Values clarification; • Evidence, effectiveness and evaluation; • Workplace culture; • Facilitation, reflection and active learning; and • Processes of person-centredness and practice development. This key initiative will be align with succession planning strategies within Health Workforce 2040, Tasmania’s policy direction for health workforce.
