David Nabarro, Special Envoy of the World Health Organization’s Director-General on #COVID19, will start his second series of Open Online Briefings on responses to COVID-19 on 11th August 2020.
Since David became a WHO Special Envoy for the COVID-19 Response early in 2020, his team at 4SD Switzerland has offered Open Online Briefings twice a week. These are interactive virtual sessions using the zoom platform. They focus on the state of the pandemic and response priorities. David provides 30 mins of updates on what is happening around the world from an interdisciplinary and people-focused perspective. The basis of the update is the analyses and guidance provided by the WHO secretariat. There is then 30 minutes of interactive discussion with participants. The first series of 32 briefings ended on 9th July 2020: recordings are available.
The second series of Open Online Briefings will take place on Tuesdays at 17:00 and Fridays 08:30 European time each week, starting on Tuesday, 11th August 2020.
