Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology

CANO/ACIO has accepted the Nightingale Challenge and is committed to supporting the next generation of young nurses to become leaders, influencers, and advocates. CANO/ACIO holds the position that oncology nursing leadership is essential to promote high quality, equitable, safe and accessible cancer care and to meet the health care challenges of the future and we need your help in contributing to this global movement. Experienced nurses can share their expertise and mentor younger nurses while younger nurses can seek out and take advantage of the numerous opportunities being offered by CANO/ACIO! Some examples of such opportunities include: involvement in Oncology Nursing Day, participating in a CANO/ACIO Leadership webinar or Leadership workshop at the CANO/ACIO annual conference, engagement in Year of the Nurse and Midwife activities at the 2020 Annual CANO/ACIO conference in Victoria in October.

50 nurses and midwives have been enrolled on this leadership development programme.
