20 nurses and midwives have been enrolled in the leadership development programme.
i. In 2020, we will organise two international scientific conferences for western Kenya
nurses, for sharing of studies and best practice in nursing
ii. 20 nurses below 35 years have been identified for training on leadership and policy by
leading reputable training institutions
iii. 20 nurses will be linked for exchange programme with willing partners/institutions both
within and outside Kenya , for them to experience what happens in other parts of the
world, with more emphasis on leadership and policy formulation
iv. 10 nurses will be sent for training in specialty (higher national diploma) areas of
critical care, nephrology and anesthesiology.
