Aim: to strengthen the role of nursing in delivering the Sustainable Development Goals with particular emphasis on gender equity and economic development.
Actions will include:- Identifying areas within the SDGs where nursing can have the most impact
- Working with UN women and others to develop and implement policies for improving the life of women at work
- Working with nursing organisations and regulators to identify ways to improve the working lives of nurses
- Working with UN agencies in the follow up to the High Level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Development to maximise nursing’s contribution to economic development
- Disseminating evidence on nursing as a route to women’s empowerment
