What motivates nurses to stay in their job?

For the past 10 years, the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, has tracked a group of 377 nurses since their graduation. The research, which is still ongoing, aims to better understand what influences nurses’ job choices and what contributes to nurses’ resilience in challenging working conditions.

Here is a video that presents the key research findings and shares first hand experiences from nurses who participated in the study as well as interviews with the researchers and key decision makers.
